The challenge.

  • Insufficient product data

    Nouvez faced challenges due to a lack of proper product data provided by suppliers, limiting the ability to fully inform customers about product features.

  • Need for enriched customer information

    To improve the customer experience, Nouvez needed to find a way to extract and present more comprehensive product details, such as material and design features, for informed purchasing decisions.

  • Dependency on limited data sources

    Although Nouvez already had pictures of all products, they needed to determine if they could use these images to extract valuable product characteristics and supplement their existing data.

Our solution.

  • Image extraction technology

    Squadra Machine Learning Company implemented an image extraction solution from Powerenrich.ai to extract key product features directly from product images, such as armrests on chairs, the number of legs, and color.

  • Custom model for product categorization

    A custom model, trained by Nouvez, was employed to predict the product’s (sub-)category based on the extracted image data, helping improve product categorization for easier navigation.

  • Data integration for improved descriptions

    Using the extracted features, Squadra also integrated the data into the PowerClass.ai tool for categorization and PowerText.ai for generating unique, high-quality product descriptions that further enhanced the product presentation.
