How to generate translations with the Translate module
Goal: In this article, you’ll learn how to quickly and easily translate your product descriptions into more than 150 languages using the Translate module within PowerText.
What is the translate module?
With PowerText, you can effortlessly translate product descriptions into over 150 languages, directly from your existing content. Thanks to AI-powered translations and the ability to use custom glossaries, your copy remains not only accurate but also fully aligned with your brand voice. This allows you to adapt product listings for any country or language region without manual work. It saves time, reduces translation costs, and helps you scale internationally with consistent, localized content.
Use the Translate feature when you want to:

How to use the Translate feature
This step-by-step guide shows you how to use the Translate tool to generate international product content quickly and easily.
Create a category tree
- Click the '+' icon to add a new category tree.
- Give the category tree a recognizable name, preferably related to your product group (e.g., "Sportswear" or "Electronics").
- Click ‘Create’ to save the category tree.
Upload your files
- Click the ‘Upload’ button in your new category.
- Select the file you want to translate (Excel, CSV, or PDF).
- Give your dataset a clear name.
- Indicate the source language of the text.
- Click ‘Create’ to upload the file.
Configure your translation settings
- Click ‘Settings’ next to your uploaded file.
- Select the target language(s) for translation.
- Specify which column(s) from your uploaded file should be translated.
- Choose whether to use a glossary for consistent brand terminology.
- Save your settings.
Start the translation process
- Click the ‘Translate all’ button to start translating.
- A progress indicator will appear during the translation process.
- Wait until all translations are complete.
Download Your Translations
- Once translations are ready, click the ‘Download’ button.
- You’ll find the translations to the right of the input data in the ‘result’ column.
- Open the downloaded file to review the translations.
- Import the translations into your system.
